TMJ - Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction

Headaches, neck pain and jaw pain are common symptoms that may occur in patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Some people experience "popping or crepitation" in the joint, locking or pain during jaw opening. Talking or chewing may be difficult and painful.

Our physical therapists have advanced training to evaluate and treat TMJ dysfunction. Following evaluation, treatment may include ultrasound, postural education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. A customized home exercise program completed daily can be very effective in relieving pain symptoms.

Our success in treating TMJ dysfunction is evident in our positive patient out comes.
